How Measureless and Strong

(Wow it's been forever since I posted anything. Granted, my computer was very dead for quite a while...)

So my church's worship band did a CD of old hymns with new music, and there was a call for artists to submit works inspired by the songs, as art for the hymnal. I actually made two paintings for it, but I don't have very good photos of the other (it was rather large). This is inspired by The Love of God by Frederick Lehman, and was great fun to paint.

There's some lovely impasto technique in the gold that probably didn't photograph all that well.
