Apparently the last time I updated my journal was 2008? That's...a pretty long time. Since I'm sure this will stay for at least as long (let's not kid ourselves)...Hi! I'm Liz! That is, Evaney Reddeman. I've been away from DA for a while, since my computer died and I spent the summer without one. Which was actually a nice way to be productive, actually. Now I have a shiny new machine and a small backlog of things I really ought to post. (Very small, I've been writing-a-novel-which-won't-be-posted-here.) Most of my creative energy these days goes into writing, so there might not be a lot of new shiny things showing up here. But I also cospla

More Forge!

0 min read
Well, I'm pleased to announce that Issue Three (Volume 2, Issue 1) of Forge is now available! At least, they sent me my copy last week, although the website is behind. There's some really great stuff in this issue, besides some lovely (though I say it myself) pages of Erin's Castle. I particularly recommend Grant Anderson's The Bones of Knight Harris, which I think is made of win. (No, I don't know the guy. I just really like the story so far.) Please, support a great project, and check them out at www.forgejournal.com

I am very excited. Yesterday my copy of Forge's second issue came in the mail. (In case you didn't remember, Forge is the start-up lit journal that's publishing my comic, Erin's Castle). They had asked my to do the cover for it, too. I think that both the cover and my comic look lovely, and I also think you should check it out. The website is a little behind (it still has issue one on the front page), but it is fairly complete.  Check it out at www.forgejournal.com

Thanks for the attention to my gallery. Sorry if I was a little over-enthusiastic yesterday, I was just very pleased to meet someone who is articulate and has fun art and a lot of fandoms in common with me, and might have gotten carried away.
Oh, no problem! It's fun for me, too! As for articulate, I took a total of maybe two(?) art classes, but one of the things they made us learn was how to talk about why we liked a piece of art. Of course, they did this by making us put our drawings up on the wall and then go down the row doing critique...so it was occasionally a painful learning process!
Cool. :)
My freshman semester I was in a class which did something similar. I was an overachiever and the teacher liked me ok, but one of my friends had a bit of a rough time. >.< There are certainly advantages and disadvantages to critique sessions.
Thanks for the :+fav:!
Thanks for the llama. :)
Your gallery is beautiful! Your art is really amazing! :D
Aww! Thanks so much!
