More Forge!

Mon Jun 23, 2008, 6:08 AM
Well, I'm pleased to announce that Issue Three (Volume 2, Issue 1) of Forge is now available! At least, they sent me my copy last week, although the website is behind.

There's some really great stuff in this issue, besides some lovely (though I say it myself) pages of Erin's Castle. I particularly recommend Grant Anderson's The Bones of Knight Harris, which I think is made of win. (No, I don't know the guy. I just really like the story so far.)

Please, support a great project, and check them out at [link]

Forge Issue Two!

I am very excited.

Yesterday my copy of Forge's second issue came in the mail. (In case you didn't remember, Forge is the start-up lit journal that's publishing my comic, Erin's Castle).

They had asked my to do the cover for it, too. I think that both the cover and my comic look lovely, and I also think you should check it out.

The website is a little behind (it still has issue one on the front page), but it is fairly complete. Check it out at [link]

Comics

Mon Sep 17, 2007, 9:06 AM
I thought I'd take a minute and explain this whole comic book thing I've been working on. Erin's Castle is the main one. That's the one I've been actively working on. In fact, the first half of "Issue 1" has been published by the startup literary journal Forge.

Forge can be found on the web both at THIS myspace page, and eventually at their under construction website HERE. Check them out, they're pretty cool.

The other comic I've been posting things for does not, in fact, exist. Grey Star is an idea I've had for a long time, and since Erin's Castle has been going well, I feel inspired to work on it once again. Someday, just maybe, I may put it up as a webcomic. I have no actual plans for this at the moment. No URL, no pages drawn, even. I'm just enjoying fooling around with designs. Erin's Castle is my priority right now, especially with Issue 2 of Forge coming out late this fall. But like any artist, I find it impossible to do just one thing at a time, hence the work on Grey Star.

Whew. Long post. But I figured it was about due.

A new machine...

Fri Jul 6, 2007, 6:41 PM
Well! I have a new computer. Very new. My friend and I just built it last saturday. It's fast. It's shiny. And it's allowing me to actually get scans done in a reasonable amount of time. Add to that actual fast internet at home (finally) and you get me, updating.

I have several things to post that I've scanned, most of which I actually drew last summer, but my computer was so slow that scanning and posting didn't feel worth it. Add the new stuff I'm slowing putting out (very slowly, this hasn't been a good 'drawing season' so far), and...we'll see. I don't know how long this productivity will last, or how much I'll post. Hopefully a while. I like getting things done.

Enjoy the art!

Could it be?

Look! An actual update to my gallery? Has Hell frozen over? No? Oh, well, anyway...

I have bought myself a scanner! Of course, I still have dial-up and my computer is painfully slow...but there is hope. (I plan to buy more memory on one of these days, but first I need a new case...)

Right now I'm uploading from a computer where I work, since I'm going to be stuck here until 1am anyway and no-one cares to much about productivity at times like these. This also explains any spelling errors, grammatical errors, or just plan weirdness in anything I've posted tonight.
