There's a 'young man' in her court?? Is this the same Princess Ida, daughter of King Gamma, who shunned all men, took one of her father's castles and turned it into a woman's collage? I absolutely LOVE that opera. Ida really was one of the few Gilbert and Sullivan heroines that wasn't just a girly girl. She had spunk, intelligence and was not afraid to stand up for what she believed.
